About the Speakers
Liz Rosenthal, Curator, Venice Immersive
Liz Rosenthal is a curator of Venice Biennale’s Venice Immersive, the Official Selection and Competition program of Venice International Film Festival. Liz was instrumental in launching Venice Immersive, the first official immersive competition and selection at an A-list festival and now the world’s most significant annual exhibition of immersive arts and entertainment. She has curated other major exhibitions worldwide, including the first ever Virtual Reality exhibition in London, with BFI (2015); Red Sea Immersive (2021 & 2022) in Saudi Arabia; and Glow, an iconic exhibition in Central London on leading women creators (2024). An executive producer of award-winning immersive content, she helped found and lead accelerator program CreativeXR. Her credits include Soul Paint (2024); Maya: The Birth of a Superhero (2024); Goliath: Playing With Reality (2021); Child of Empire (2022); (Hi)story of a Painting (2022). Liz is CEO & founder of trail-blazing company Power to the Pixel, the first organization to create international development, finance and exhibition programs for immersive and interactive works. Based in London, she has an extensive knowledge and network of international talent and leaders across immersive entertainment and the arts.

Michel Reilhac, Curator, Venice Immersive
Michel Reilhac is an independent author and producer of interactive storytelling and virtual reality. Since 2016, he has been the founder and curator of the official international competition for immersive content Venice VR as part of the Venice Biennale for the Venice International Film Festival. Since early 2013, he has also co-founded and served as the head of studies for the Cinema College and the VR College at the Venice Biennale. Based in Paris, he has partnered with Marcel Van Doorn, designer and artistic director, since late 2020, to create and produce immersive concepts and experiences. He regularly speaks, coaches, and acts as an artistic director at numerous international festivals and events related to immersive media.

Mike Salmon, Producer
Mike is an award-winning, Emmy-nominated XR producer. He founded NBCUniversal’s Immersive Entertainment team, where he served as Head of Immersive Technology, and has presented XR work at festivals including Venice and SXSW. A member of the Producers Guild of America and a tutor at La Biennale College, he also leads the virtual worlds selection for Venice Immersive. Mike works with Agog on social VR strategy and is the founder of XR studios KRAKED and Associated Industries.
