In November 2025, a group of artists, researchers, technologists, curators, and producers gathered at the International Documentary Film Festival, Amsterdam (IDFA) DocLab R&D Summit to discuss what’s next for immersive, AI, and interactive art.
Agog supported the development of a report from the summit, authored by Kent Bye, that covers substantial ground: civic design and de-isolation, multiplayer XR and distribution, immersive exhibition models, AI ethics for creative work, and the challenge of sustaining arts funding in a shrinking landscape.
