At our next Agog Community Meetup, we’re partnering with Black Public Media to spotlight three standout projects from PitchBlack, the organization’s annual pitch competition showcasing visionary creatives working in film and emerging media.
Returning for a second consecutive year, the Immersive Competition was introduced in 2024 to celebrate new forms of storytelling through spatial and sensory experiences. By freeing themselves from the screen and traditional cinematic language, immersive works invite viewers to enter into the narrative, and often interact with it. 16 immersive works from 9 countries will be presented in the Selection, including 9 in the Competition.

Media Art 21 comes to Rhizome World for a new symposium on the platform’s three key themes: The Posthuman, Ecologies, and the Commons. In Partnership with Onassis ONX and ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, this convening features artists and scholars who offer critical reflections on contemporary art practice and shifting paradigms in media art in particular.
